Adsorbosphere is a trademark of Alltech Associates. Select Adsorbosphere columns for applications requiring exceptional surface coverage and stability. Alltech's high-temperature bonding converts 25% to 40% more of the silanols to primary bonded phase than with standard, lower temperature bonding. Endcapping and monomeric bonding reduce batch to batch variability. These bonded phases are extremely inert because all accessible silanols have been reacted. The ratio of primary to endcapped silanols is greater than with many other materials resulting in a more stable bonded phase. As endcapping is lost due to hydrolysis, there is less change in selectivity because endcapped sites are a smaller percentage of the total bonded phase.

Adsorbosphere HS has a higher carbon loading than the standard material and is able to resist aggressive mobile phases. High density bonding onto the high surface area results in a C18 carbon loading of 20%.
This hydrophobic bonded phase protects the silica from agressive mobile phases and is highly selective for organic compounds. Adsorbosphere HS can also withstand ion-pairing agents, buffers and other aggressive substances which ensures along column life.
